Q. Is there a fee to participate and what is the deadline to register?

A. The fee is $25 for individuals ages 13 and older and $15 for individuals ages 12 and under. You can register up to the day of the event. Registration forms will be available at the registration table at our event.

Q. Can I sign up my whole family?

A. You can sign up your family on the paper registration form or online at this website. Please note that you will need a unique email address for each person. Call us if you have any questions.

Q. What is the schedule for the day?

A. 8:00 am – 9:00 am Registration, 9:00 am – 10:00 am is the 15K Bike Ride, 10:00 am – 10:30 am is the 5K Run, and 10:30 – 11:00 is the 1 mile walk around the Grizzly Stadium. You can participate in any of these three events or enjoy the family fun activities within the stadium. At 11:00 am, lunch will be served.

Q. How far is the ride vs walk?

A. The bicycle ride is approximately 15 miles and the walk is 1 mile.

Q. Can someone join my team as a fundraiser, but not attend the walk?

A. Yes, they can join the team and not attend. If we have 350 paid participants attending the event, we have been promised another $5,000 donation to the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Southern Illinois. Please help us meet this goal!

Q. Can I pick up brochures and posters to promote the event and help build my team?

A. Yes, you can come by our main office at 3515 North Belt West to pick up brochures to promote the event.

Q. Where do I sign up to volunteer for Sharon’s Ride?

A. Please call Gary at (618) 236-2181 extension 111 to sign up to volunteer for our event. We will need help with the family activities, water stations, helpers along the route for the bicycle ride and 5K run, etc.

Q. Where do I drop off the money I raised?

A. Money can be sent or dropped off to the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Southern Illinois, 3515 North Belt West, Belleville, IL 62226. Please mark the envelope for Sharon’s Ride. Run. Walk.

Q. Where does my team meet on the day of the event?

A. Meet at the Gateway Grizzlies Ballpark either inside the ballpark or out in the parking lot.

Q. Where do we park on the day of the event?

A. A parking lot is provided by the Gateway Grizzlies Ballpark.

Q. What should I bring with me on the day of the event?

A. Please bring a lawn chair, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, money for donations, and your smile!!
