Why should I attend this event?

Epilepsy Foundation of San Diego County is a 501(c)3 non-profit, tax-exempt organization. We hold this annual event in order to raise crucial funds to ensure that our support services and programs are available “at no cost” to those who need them. How do I register for the Sharon's Ride.Run.Walk online?

Team captains, families and individual participants should all click on the button “Register Now” Select from the following:

  • Start a Team to become a Team Captain
  • Join a Team to find an existing team
  • Join as an Individual

Complete the registration information:

  • Create a Username and Password, write down this information and keep it someplace safe.



Why should I register online?

Registering online lets us know you are planning on attending so we may ensure your lunch and t-shirt. More importantly, this website can increase your success at fund raising: making it easy to invite friends to your event webpage, keeping track of your progress, and raising awareness about the ride.run.walk, epilepsy and our organization.

What is the long website address that I received in my confirmation receipt?

This website address will take you to your personal donation page. This address link is automatically included in any emails that are sent through the email center in event headquarters after you have logged into the website. You can also copy and paste this link into any other form of email.

Can friends and family make a donation to a Participant by going through the main website?

Yes. On the home page of the website, friends and family can locate a Participant by clicking on the “Sponsor Participant” button. By typing in the name of the Participant, they will be directed to the Participant’s personalized pledge page.

What if the donation to a participant or team is by check or cash?

Donations made by check or cash, is an “offline” donation and the participant or team captain may enter the information on his or her HQ page to add toward your goal. This will appear as a “pending” donation. When EFSDC receives the check and/or cash we will complete the transaction. You should receive an email receipt verifying receipt and entry of the offline donation.

Who May Attend the Event?

This event is open to the public, attendees may arrive at any time of the day before 12pm. Walk-up participants may register that morning. We encourage early registration otherwise lunches and t-shirts are subject to availability. Remember, early registration may also encourage those to raise more donations.

What ways can I donate?

Sponsor – Sponsors mean a lot to our event by substantiating our cause and contributing to our financial goals. We have 4 Levels to fit any budget. Sign up now through 3/4 by downloading the Sponsorship Levels.

Underwriting – Gifts-in-Kind help us defray event expenses. If you or your business can offer a service as a donation, contact us now.

Team Captains – Team captains are our biggest fundraisers as they inspire family and friends to donate or attend our event! Amaze yourself and sign up as a Team Captain or join forces and be a co-captain. Attend our team captain meeting for fundraising tips and speak to some of our past years captains.

Volunteer – Donating your time when there is so much to do is a great way to hlep: planning, registration, activities, set up and break down. Let us know you are interested.

All about Underwriting

Underwriting helps EFSDC to defray the costs of this event. One way to help fundraise is through Gifts-in-Kind. Gifts-in-Kind are donations that come from services you can provide in lieu of us paying an outside service for cost such as: postage, printing of event material, event t-shirts, carnival games, carnival prizes, event rentals, photographer, the dj, etc.
